The seasons have finally changed and I am embracing the colder weather by staying inside with a cup of tea and a good book. Time is moving faster than the falling leaves and I am completely unprepared to say goodbye to September. I had forgotten how quickly time moves in college, with countless deadlines and sleepless nights making time a little too scarce. I haven't even had time to put up my Halloween decorations yet.
But, as months come and go, I just remind myself that we are a little bit closer to Christmas.
I am not in the business of holiday erasure though, so I fully plan on celebrating Halloween, particularly with some "spooky" novels. Even though I can't do full on horror (for books or movies), I am planning on reading books with more mysteries, ghosts, and witches.
But first, let's recap what happens at Crazy for YA and in my life during September!

1. Reaching 500 Posts
This month, I had the great joy of writing my 500th post on Crazy for YA. And, in standard Tessa style, I made too much of a big deal about it. Along with some sappy thank-yous and self-reflection, I also constructed a timeline of the best (and the worst) posts in the history of Crazy for YA. It is definitely worth checking out if you are curious what some of my biggest regrets are.
2. Hosting my First Giveaway
To accompany my 500th post, I am currently hosting my first giveaway! I am giving away one book of choice from The Book Depository, which mean it is INTERNATIONAL! The giveaway ends on October 6, so there is still plenty of time to enter if you like free books (which I know everyone reading this does!).
3. Pinterest
This month, I have finally remembered that I have a Pinterest account for Crazy for YA and that I should actually update it. (In fact, I was inspired by The Uncorked Librarian and her amazing pinning abilities.) I normally go on Pinterest for crafting ideas, recipes, and the occasional meme, but I also realized that it can be a fun way to interact with more bloggers.

Book(s) of the Month
This month's competition for the best book is a tied between P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han and Nocturne by Kat Ross. Both books earned solid four stars from me (see my review of Nocturne here if you are interested more in why it is so amazing).
I am planning on reading Always and Forever, Lara Jean soon, but I have to say that PSISLY is my favorite in the series so far.

I read The Tempest for class and P.S. I Still Love You after I fell in love with the movie.
